A bit of a last minute decision to go to the Lavender Line show at Isfield and we didn't even go in a Jaguar!. Around 20 cars, including our 'car with the dragon tattoo' and a few miniature traction engines. We paid just £10 each for a hearty cooked breakfast in the station buffet and a ride on both the steam and diesel trains. The steam engine dates back to the 1920's and was built in Belgium with an unusual vertical boiler. The Lavender line is quite a small one and the train ride from Isfield to Worth Halt is fairly short but it was interesting to see all that the volunteers are doing for this heritage line. There is also a miniature steam railway there for the children. All in all a pleasant day out.
